In other words: 2 x 9 Holes cards + 4 x 18 Hole cards =  your 6 required cards.

Due to hollow tining on the Spitfire course, the Medals on 28 August and 1 September have had to switch to the Hurricane.

Topsy Turvy tutu.....

Chris (in the pro shop) has offered some amusement (and potentially life changing) entertainment for the Topsy Turvy event.... he is prepared to wear a tutu (I think pink and quite outstanding costume) for minimum donations of £5 to charity....!!!!!

So far we have had sponsorship from Pat, Sue S, Kim, me and Lesley (promised if it's impressive enough!!!), so I kindly invite those generous and open-minded amongst you to join in with kind offers!!!

By the way, this was all Chris's idea, which is both disturbing and hilarious in equal measure, so I'd be thrilled if you would help make it worth his while (and long term humiliation with Michael, Ashley, Duncan.....

Ladies Open

Many thanks to all the ladies who helped in all and every way today to make the Open such success, and especially Diana for her hard work planning and organising it.

Other special thanks to: Kim and Pat on registration and ball spotting. Lesley and Sue G on raffle and birdie twos and Lesley and Julie for the scoring. Lew and Steve M for starting duties. Lots of fun had and I gave extra prizes for exceptional costumes as well as two names - the spirit was very much entered into!

Swinging Sixties Cobtree Manor 9/8/18

Well, I think it must be me that jinxes the weather for the Swinging Sixties events.  After the washout that was the cancelled March meeting, nineteen of us ladies met at Cobtree Manor on the second wettest day for weeks. However, the West Malling ladies are made of sterling stuff and battled with the constant downpour admirably - at least until we got to the 15th by which time that green was waterlogged and we decided enough was enough!

However, once dried and warmed up in the club house, we all agreed that, in spite of the wet, we'd enjoyed the golf, the course and the company.

Well done to the prize winners and to all the ladies who took part.  Thanks to Cathy Smith, Lesley Shott and Carol Eldridge for helping me out on the day.

Looking forward to the Christmas meeting on 13th December when I really hope that the weather is much kinder to us!

Bradley Cook

Sadly our excellent Bradley Cook run came to an end last Sunday. We travelled to Royal Cinque Ports with a 3-2 head start from the home leg but unfortunately they fielded an incredibly strong team  and over turned our lead. Still a very good effort against last years champions and we should be really proud of the fact we reached the quarterfinals of the Trophy Competition this year

Well done to everyone who played in the matches - Lindsay, Sue, Jill, Lydia, Jane, Julie, Kim and Rena as well as all those who were available to play if needed.

Format: Texas Scramble – five teams of 3; one team of 4

Handicap: 10% of combined  for each 3 ball team;
5% of combined handicap for 4 ball team*

Nearest the pin on 4th and 15th holes


Cost for the day is £25 payable in advance.  Thank you for those of you who have paid already; I would be grateful for any outstanding payments before Thursday please.

If there is a no-show or cancellation, the cost of the lunch (£7) plus £10 green fee will be payable by the individual.
