Oh Ladies, What a day!!
For starters to have so many ladies attend this event was fantastic - 58 in all!
We played our twelve holes of golf with various santa hats, sparkling earrings and whatever else we could find that was Christmassy. What great spirits you all are.
Following the golf & having changed into our 'glad rags' we headed for the lounge for a little tipple and some Christmas fun.
With the raffle and the 'Guess how many Items in a Jar' we managed to raise £277.00 for my charity so thank you sooooooo very much for your kindness.
More tipples later Judith & I presented the successful ladies who had won the various trophies since Lady Captains day, well done to all the winners and long may your successes continue!
The day was won by Sue Stickland with a grand 29 points, runner up was Debbie Tennant with 24 points and in third place was Brenda Wilson with 23 points. Nearest the pin was won by Sue Gofton and the Longest Drive was awarded to Lydia Doherty - Well done to all of you.
The afternoon was great fun and I cannot believe how much noise we make, but we certainly made ourselves heard!
I finally left the Golf Club at 8:30 pm and as you can imagine had kicked my shoes off by then. My Vice Captain Jane was a little worse for wear but was a great support on the day! Our Past Lady Captain Caroline, after having an extremely successful year was winding down, a good day was had by all!
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and I am really looking forward to sharing some other great days with all of you, the Ladies Section is truly amazing, so thank you for making it a memorable day.
I hope some of you can make it for my 'Drive In' on New Years Day as I will need all the support I can get but if not Merry Christmas & Happy New Year and Happy Golfing in 2013.
Debbie xxxxx
