BRADLEY COOK AGAINST CHISLEHURST

Tuesday 28th July at West Malling

We had our first leg of the quarter final match against Chislehurst today in very tricky conditions with gusting winds.
Lindsay put up a good fight but was unfortunately out played and lost 5 & 3. My match against my opponent was close for the front nine but she pulled away and won 4 & 3. Jane had a very close match that was nip and tuck all the way and finally beat her on the 18th to win 1 up. Debbie also had a very close match and also beat her opponent on the 18th to win 1 up. Julie was playing her very first Bradley Cook match and did not disappoint! She beat her lady 7 &6. Overall we won 3 - 2 with exactly the same amount of games won.

Saturday 1st August at Chilsehurst.

We today played at Chislehurst with high hopes of a victory but it was not to be. Lindsay led us out and had a really good game against the same lady she played at West Malling but was defeated 4 & 3.
I also had the same opponent and it was all very close on the front 9 but then she pulled away with fantastic putts and a chip in aswell. I lost 6 & 5. Lydia continued her wonderful golf from the Ladies Championship and beat her lady 6 & 5. Jill played well but was denied a win this time and lost 2 & 1.
Julie once again played her heart out but unfortunately was beaten on the day by a formidable opponent and lost 3 & 2. We lost overall 4 -1.

Thanks to all the ladies that have participated this year in the Bradley Cook - Lindsay, Lydia, Jane,Debbie, Donna, Fin, Jill and Julie. Well played everyone and let's hope we can go further next year.
