Topsy Turvy tutu.....

Chris (in the pro shop) has offered some amusement (and potentially life changing) entertainment for the Topsy Turvy event.... he is prepared to wear a tutu (I think pink and quite outstanding costume) for minimum donations of £5 to charity....!!!!!

So far we have had sponsorship from Pat, Sue S, Kim, me and Lesley (promised if it's impressive enough!!!), so I kindly invite those generous and open-minded amongst you to join in with kind offers!!!

By the way, this was all Chris's idea, which is both disturbing and hilarious in equal measure, so I'd be thrilled if you would help make it worth his while (and long term humiliation with Michael, Ashley, Duncan.....

Topsy Turvy sign up (and a twist)

Anne has put the sign-up sheet for the Topsy Turvy mixed event (Sunday 26 Aug) on the mixed board.
Always a good challenge and bit of fun, especially in these conditions with the ball running so much - white tees?? pah, piece of cake!!

This year, Chris Wood (pro shop Chris if you don't know) has offered to wear a tutu for the duration, with money going to my charity!!!!
What a great sport he is.
Minimum £5 please he says - humiliation and ridicule does of course have a price!!!
I know I'll be paying to see it!! Hopefully lots of you will too.

DONNA'S SKYDIVE

Unfortunately it was too cloudy for Donna to do her skydive on Sunday so she was really disappointed. However, she has re booked it for Sunday 3rd September. 

We would like to say a huge well done on her sponsorship, as it is over £1,000. The good news is that you still have time to sponsor her either on her Just Giving page (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/donna-chuter ) or if you see her in the club house.

Donation to Age UK

I am delighted to tell you that over £3,300 was raised for charity during my year as Lady Captain at West Malling GC.

This money has now been forwarded to Age UK, and will be used to continue their work in local communities, nationally and assisting the elderly now, and in the future.

My thanks to all of you who helped organise, participated in and contributed to our varied fundraising activities for this worthwhile cause.

And please don't forget to donate blood if you are able. Just 4% of the UK population currently does so, yet many more rely on this vital gift.
