The ladies committee would like to invite you to play a casual round of golf on Sunday the 10th of March to say hello and for you to find out what the ladies' section is all about. We can fill you in about our charity, events and getting to know other lady members, along with any questions you might have.

Lady Captain's Report

Another month has gone by with horrible weather and not a lot of activity on the golf course.
The course was shut a couple of days due to the snow and just too muddy on the course to play.

There was some good news for Duncan and I, we had a beautiful granddaughter Willow born on the 5th of February, it was very exciting for us so the weather nor the lack of golf were a problem for us.

Leaving babies to one side, I had my first event on Tuesday the 12th The Valentine Fun Competition.
We had a nice turn out on the day. I sold mulligans to go towards my charity for £2 making £42,
thank you ladies for the support.  I also introduce the red ball for double points just to add a little fun on the day.The weather was absolutely beautiful I couldn't have ask for a better day. Although my golf was awful, at least I had a nice day for a stroll around the course.

The winning team was Carol E., Penny and Rena with 94 points and in second place we had
Carol M , Julie and Sally with 87 pts.  Vicky Common won N/P on the 7th. Well done ladies and thought I mention that both winning teams came back with the red ball.

I attended the first chairman's meeting which was very much about the men's section, but was happy to be included. I brought up the issue of entering our own cards into the system, but was assured that it will not happen at WM. but entering our sign up competitions on line is something we can do.
Steve Deacon and Steve McIntosh will help set it up for the ladies section.  Management agreed that it can be easily set up.  We will keep the ladies well inform of when it will take place.

Ladies we have the Rosebowl and Yard of String competitions coming up next month so hope the support will be there along with the good weather.
