Update from KCLGA ref all competitions
KCLGA UPDATE COVID 19
17th March 2020
In light of the current Government advice we announce the cancellation or postponement of our competitions until a further review on April 27th.
The holding of the Winter Four Ball Final on 6th April is under review and competitors will receive further information in due course.
The Champion of Champions due to be held on the 26th April is now cancelled. However we would like to rearrange thisfor later in the year. Competitors will receive further information in due course.
Golf Clubs will be suffering financial losses and so it would benefit everyone if KCLGA’s big events could be accommodated in 2020 and restored into this year’s Calendar if at all possible.
All Summer Knockout Competitions, have to be cancelled:
3 Feathers
Holland Trophy
Bradley Cook
TappIn
Lohan
Milstede
Captains Cup
Keep an eye out for on-going information on the KCLGA web site.
A Review of the situation will take place on 27th April 2020.
Further information about Unification and the AGMs will follow.

Kent Competition 2020 -3 feathers
Hi ladies and happy New Year to you all there are quite a few competitions that are available for those with an active handicap to enter that are organised by the Kent County ladies golf Association the one particular one that I would need you to think about is the three feathers
Three feathers matchplay knockout - give it a go !
This is a Kent led competition which I have entered a few times. Being knockout for the £5 entry fee you could get really lucky and play quite a few courses! There is no set pattern ref green fees and the matches are alternate home and away. It’s really well supported with 3 hcap bands
Scratch - 15- gold
16-22- silver
22-36- bronze
The final is at Wrotham Heath on 13/9/20
It’s excellent matchplay practise - whatever your hcap!
I will submit all entries by 8th January and would ask you to let me know by Monday 6th

Kent Competition - Captain's Cup (mixed) UPDATED
Rena is going to put notices up at the club regarding signing up for this competition and will send off the entry form for West Malling.
This is a competition organised by the Kent Ladies Golf.
If anyone is interested in this competition, it is possible to play with a 'squad' of players which you can manage yourselves once entered and as you progress through the rounds.
Knock-Out match-play competition with two mixed foursomes pairs per team.
First pair to include a gentleman with a handicap plus to 14 and a lady with handicap plus to 20.
The second pair to include a gentleman with handicap 15 to 28 and a lady with handicap 21 to 36.
The Match: Each individual foursomes match to be played over the complete 18 holes. Handicap Allowance in a game will be half of the difference between each pair’s combined handicaps. The match to be played from the Men’s Stroke Indices. The winning club will be determined by the aggregate of holes won or lost by the two pairs after all 18 holes have been played by each pair.
In the event of a tie, the lower handicap foursomes pairs will play sudden death.
Competitors do not have to be current or past captains of the club they represent.
No fee for this year.
Full details and an entry form can be found on the website: http://www.kentladiesgolf.org.uk/competitions/club-competitions/captains-cup/entry/
I suggest that one of the competitors is the club contact rather than me, as it will be much easier to organise directly.
The deadline for entry is Jan 31st.
