SUNDRIDGE PARK v WEST MALLING

We played our first Bradley Cook match for this season yesterday at Sundridge Park.
To say the conditions were challenging would be an understatement with such strong winds you would not play in through choice.  Lindsay led us off playing against a former Dutch champion and although Lindsay put up a good fight was beaten by an opponent who was on excellent form. My opponent was also a formidable challenge and although I had my chances I lost 4 & 3. Debbie was next in the order and battled hard to win 4 & 3. Jane's opponent was also tough and she lost 5 & 4.  Finally Jill played a good game but her opponent chipped in on one hole and on another had a hole in one! The final score being 4 & 3. A great days golf and we look forward to our return match on 10th May.

Today we played against West Kent, at home, in our final match of the second round.  We had to win and we did 4-3!!!
As usual the ladies gave their all, Caroline Harrison winning 3 and 2, Georgina Venus 5 and 4, Gina Wilson 5 and 4, Lisa Kiddie was on fire and won 7 and 5.  Carol Eldridge, Lesley Shott and Diana Scott, gave it their best shot but today wasn't their day.
Thanks to Julie Harris our reserve and the banana lady Judith Parkhurst.

Quiz Night - 15th May 2015

We have our first quiz of the year booked. You may have seen the posters around the club. Tickets are now available from the office - cost per team £40
Teams made up of 6 which includes entry and a light meal of sandwiches and chips
Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd and a Best Team name prize. There will be a raffle on the night  
Bernie and Jeannette will be our quiz masters once again. Proceeds from this night go to the Lady Captains Charity
