Hi ladies,
I do hope you are keeping well and enjoying the weather and the golf now that we are fortunate to be playing again.
The committee and I would like to arrange a charity eclectic competition just for fun within the ladies section. There will not be an entry fee but a voluntary donation for the Captains charity would be greatly appreciated. This competition will be played on both courses with a maximum of 8 cards on each course. On a completed round we would like you to take a photo of your card (mobile phone) and send this to Rena Jones (07929 119315) who will keep a record of the scores on a spreadsheet and calculate at the end of the competition the winner on each course. This way there will be no cards touched by other players.
This competition will run from June 1st until 31st October 2020 and a prize will be presented to the winner of each course.
To enter the Eclectic Charity Competition text your name and current handicap to Rena who will put you on the player/entry list.
Remember ladies let’s keep this a fun competition and enjoy.
Stay safe, stay well

Lady Captains update
Hi Ladies just a little catch up. I do hope you and your families are all safe and well during this period of lockdown. The one thing that has been in our favour is the lovely weather we have had these past 6 weeks and I’m sure all our gardens look in great condition and have kept us busy and fit, it’s just a shame we haven’t been able to play golf, the course looks in perfect condition. The update with Greg by email is that they are still waiting for confirmation to re open and obviously social distancing will still be on going. All competitions have been postponed and this includes the Captains Charity day which had been arranged for the 8th May. The committee and I will discuss the best way forward with the help of the club once we have the go ahead to resume play.
Take care everyone and stay safe and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Update from KCLGA ref all competitions
KCLGA UPDATE COVID 19
17th March 2020
In light of the current Government advice we announce the cancellation or postponement of our competitions until a further review on April 27th.
The holding of the Winter Four Ball Final on 6th April is under review and competitors will receive further information in due course.
The Champion of Champions due to be held on the 26th April is now cancelled. However we would like to rearrange thisfor later in the year. Competitors will receive further information in due course.
Golf Clubs will be suffering financial losses and so it would benefit everyone if KCLGA’s big events could be accommodated in 2020 and restored into this year’s Calendar if at all possible.
All Summer Knockout Competitions, have to be cancelled:
3 Feathers
Holland Trophy
Bradley Cook
TappIn
Lohan
Milstede
Captains Cup
Keep an eye out for on-going information on the KCLGA web site.
A Review of the situation will take place on 27th April 2020.
Further information about Unification and the AGMs will follow.
Stableford and Medal Competitions
Ladies, due to the continuing guidance from the Government as well as the various golfing bodies and the club, the committee have decided to suspend all competitions including Stableford and Medals until further notice.
We realise that this will have implications for qualifying for next years competitions and we can assure you that we will modify the criteria if required. We await guidance from England Golf regarding handicaps being maintained, but we will share that as soon as it is available.
At this time our priority is to ensure that everyone stays safe, this means today’s cards will not be entered.
Please take every care when you play and follow the guidance from the club that was sent out today.
If you have any concerns please call or text.
Stay safe ladies.

Cancellation of ladies events
Hi Ladies,
We have now received an announcement from The Prime Minister informing us that all socialising within clubs, bars and pubs will be prohibited due to the current Coronavirus. So unfortunately I regret to inform you that as from today all ladies competitions will be cancelled, this includes the Vets match, Spring Meeting and the Elizabeth Budd. I feel this is a sensible measure under the present circumstances.. This will be reviewed as and when we receive further advice.
I thank you for your co operation in these trying times, and I hope and pray you all stay safe and healthy.
