Merlin result – 20 September

Our 16 strong ladies team battled against the Merlins golf society team on Sunday 20^thSeptember.

Unfortunately, we were not victorious on this occasion but good fun was had by all.  It was a 6/2 defeat.  Well done to our winning ladies and commiserations to our losers.

Our opposition knew their team but had issues with timing and running order so it was a little chaotic before we teed off. Luckily our ladies arrived on time and were ready for their matches. 

Thanks go to my playing partner Caroline who got me a bacon roll ‘to go’ whilst I sorted out what was happening with the Merlins.  

This was a popular event and a rematch was talked about after the match.  So a bit of good news… as we lost we get to set the format of next year’s fixture. There will also be a trophy as Andy the current Merlins Captain has said he will donate. Lisa I am sure will organise Malcolm next year.
