Change of date for the Overnighter
Hello Ladies,
Due to an error with your golf travel. They have given us the wrong date for our
overnighter. They gave us the 13th and 14th instead of our original date of the
6th and 7th.
I have tried to rectify this with them and Old Thorn but it seems we can't get the 8 tee
times we need on the 6th so we are going to have to change the date to the 13th.
I truly hope that all the ladies signed on can still make the new date.
Please let me know if you can't make that date so I can take you off the list. I hope
that won't be the case. I am really sorry for the inconvenience. Believe me, we've been
back and forth trying to resolve this, but at the end the day the club just couldn't give us the
tee times needed,
Regards

Lady Captains January Report
Lady
Captains January Report
Happy New Year to you all.
Well this is my 1st
report as Lady Captain and though I still feel apprehensive of the Year ahead I
will do my best. I wish to thank you all for your support at the Drive in and I
am pleased to say I managed to find the fairway on my drive. Bill (men’s
captain) confirmed that the joint Charity for 2020 would be Prostate Cancer
(Kent) and it was obvious with the donations received on the day that it will
be a worthy Charity.
The Ladies section has a very
busy calendar for 2020 and hopefully all competitions will be well supported. I
will be adding some additional Medal competitions during the year and these will
be posted when the dates are agreed with the office.
At the AGM I confirmed that
discussions had been carried out with the management regarding Intelligent Golf;
this system will allow the ladies to sign up online.
Julie Harris and I have now
had a meeting with Greg and the ladies have now been signed up to IG. Julie has
agreed to take on the role and work on behalf of the ladies’ section and co-ordinate
the changeover. I know that it will take us all a while to understand how this
works and we will be doing this in stages. I believe it would be most helpful
to have a meeting so that questions can be answered, we have a Meet and Greet on
Sunday 1st March (10am) and we would like to take the opportunity to
explain the IG system to all our lady members. I will put a sign-up sheet in
the changing room so we can see how many numbers are attending, coffee will be
arranged for the morning. Prior to this meeting would you please check that
management has a correct email address for you.
Finally, the sign-up sheets
are now in the changing room for the Valentines Fun Comp, hopefully weather
permitting it will be played over 18 holes.
Here’s looking forward to the
dry weather and a great golfing year.
Carol

Well ladies what can I say. What a terrific turnout. Fifty ladies for lunch WOW!!! I know
a lot of you struggled to get to the club on time with all the problems on the M20

We Made £410 pounds on the raffle and bauble, so thank you all again for your generosity.
