Bank Holiday Monday Texas Scramble

On Monday 29^th May, 17 groups of 4 entered into a team Texas Scramble on the Spitfire course to help raise funds for the charities.

What a great turnout and a massive thank you to everyone that entered. The weather was brilliant and you could hear laughter and banter all around the course.  Thank you to Mr Harrison for pointing out that “you choose your best ball” when my team was on the 17^th !!!! and that funnily enough was our best ball !?!. 

A big thank you to Malcolm Roberts who kindly donated the wine for the 1^st prizes - and to Jane Woodward and Pat West who donated the Nearest the Pin prizes for the ladies. We really do appreciate this. 

The winners were –

1^st Tony Hall, Bruce Campbell, D Osbourne and Joe McDonagh-Brown with 54.2

2^nd Lew Evans, Joe Harris, John Harrison and Paul Hurd with 55.7

3^rd Lee and Georgina Venus and Eric and Lydia Doherty with 56.5

We had a raffle while we checked the scores and for the day we have raised £724.00!  This is a fantastic amount and thank you to everyone for once again digging deep for the charities.

The West Malling Ryder Cup sign-up sheets will go onto the mixed board soon. This is another great competition run over 2 day’s Saturday 5^th and Sunday 6^th August.
