Our Easter fun was a pairs betterball this year.
On Tuesday 31/3 we had 8 pairs play on a very blustery day. As pairs were drawn beforehand our ladies battled 25 mph winds and we had some good scores posted by the winners.
Winners were Jean Alback & Helen Cornwell with 37 pts
2nd place went to Lisa Kiddie & Diana Scott with 35pts
Ntp on the 7th was won by Carol Eldridge
Well done to everyone for braving the weather.
Saturday saw two competitions in one! We also played in the Julie Harris birthday bash! My playing partner Caroline Harrison and I didn't know which shots to go for at some points during the game, the team score or the pairs betterball score!
Our victors on the day handed individual cards in as they got distracted in the course. Their betterball score was worked out over a glass of Prosecco and they pinched the lead by a point!
Well done to Sue Stickland & Donna Chuter scoring 42pts
2nd were Julie Harris & Lydia Doherty with 41pts
Judith Parkhurst won the ntp on the 16th!
Easter eggs were the prizes awarded so hopefully these were enjoyed on Easter Day.
Monies raised for the lady captains charity totalled £120 - thanks for the support. It is much appreciated again.
