An away fixture on a beautiful summers day always makes for a great day out.
The team arrived bright and early and had a warm welcome from the ladies and enjoyed coffee and biscuits outside in the sunshine.
Final adjustments were made to handicaps and shots for our matches as the stableford at West Malling the day before had some great scores so the red pen was needed on the pre prepared cards.
Thanks go to Jennie Aldridge, Judith Parkhurst, Sue Stickland, Pat West, Diana Scott, Judy Blackburn, Carol Eldridge for making themselves available. We lost 4-0 on this occasion as home advantage worked favourably for our hosts. The course was in good condition and the roll on the ball certainly took me by surprise a number of times! Our tea was well received afterwards too.
We have received a big 'thanks' already from our hosts - Sue their lady captain has said that it was one of the 'best friendly fixtures of 2015 so far'. That's nice feedback so well done ladies!
Thanks go to Lisa for organising along with Kay from chestfield. I am sure the invite for the return match next year will be sent soon.
Our next friendly fixture is against Canterbury at home on 11/7. The team will be posted shortly.
